Genealogy Connections

I have been actively researching my family heritage for well over 30 years. I had such a deep desire to find out our family origins. This became more important as my family grew, and now with grand children, there was a need to investigate, document and preserve our family history.  

From endless hours of genealogy research, I have uncovered some dead ends and 'ah-ha' moments, pretty amazing stories, some heartbreaking and others quite incredible. There is even lore pertaining to a convict, but I am yet to find this elusive individual!

In the end, I was able to convey to my father that he was not a Viking descendant as always thought, but indeed a swede. I was also able to find out one of his adopted mother's family lineage and made contact with some cousins. This gave him the closure he needed - Illara
